Beyond my professional work and writing, I commit myself to giving back to the tech community through my yearly mentorship program. I believe in nurturing the next generation of tech talent by sharing the knowledge and experience I've gained over my career. Through project-based learning, I provide guidance and hands-on experience to help students develop the practical skills needed in today's technology landscape.

Mentorship Program Details

  • Selection Process: Each year, I select two university students (United Kingdom only 🇬🇧) through a lottery system. I personally handpick these students from the applicant pool.
  • Program Structure: I offer a project-based mentorship program lasting four months, designed to equip participants with the technical skills required to thrive as professionals.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Mentees benefit from everything I've learned over my years in the industry, including software development practices, data engineering principles, and professional workplace skills.
  • Cloud Certification: As part of the program, I ensure all mentees earn relevant cloud certifications before completing the mentorship.
  • Cost: You will not pay a dime for this mentorship opportunity—I offer it completely free for selected students.
  • Technologies Covered: The program typically includes training in modern programming languages, cloud technologies, data engineering tools, and software architecture principles.
  • Project Work: Mentees participate in real-world projects to help build their portfolio whilst gaining practical experience.
  • Career Guidance: Beyond technical training, I provide guidance on career development, professional networking, and industry navigation.

  • Project Description: Details of a technical project you've worked on or would like to work on during the mentorship

Selected participants will receive email notifications by September 2025, and the mentorship period will begin in October 2025.
